If you can see canvas on that tyre, I'd sue Dunlop! The legal position on cuts is...... A cut in excess of 25mm or 10% of the section width of the tyre , whichever is the greater, measured in any direction on the outside of the tyre and deep enough to reach the ply or cord would deem the tyre illegal. As it's at max a 190 tyre, you have 25mm to play with..................
only just joined !!. the split is called open tread joint ! would you believe its where the rubber joins. remember racing tyres are made to last A RACE how many miles did you do ?. Do any of you guys know just how tyres are made? Dont think so after seeing some of the comments.O by the way if you carried on using tyres with this (split)tread joint open it will get bigger and fail by this I mean the whole tread could delaminate ie come off the carcass. Glad to see it was changed.
