Help again (even worse...)

I can't fit my pads back on the bike...

I've fitted the caliper to the fork, but then the disc is almost in contact with one side of the caliper, which makes that I can't put the pads in the caliper... What's wrong with that? As you will see I've got forks legs on the bike but they are Alan's and according to him I shouldn't race with them...

GOT IT

Don't bother with that, I think the problem comes from the fork, the stuff holding the thing is not shifted enough, so my disc isn't centered. Problem is I can't do anything to that, one of the bolt on the fork bottom is dead... So I can't move the thing in the stuff.

ok I'm off to the garage, maybe I'll have more luck with the rear brake

(Anyway Mark won't need front brakes on the Dyno will he?)

Wheel spacers? Done it myself recently when I was tired and working late. Easily done.

Believe it or not I know what you mean!

I had a stuck thingy in the bottom of the wotsit on one of my bits. Try a good soaking of WD40 and then try using a hammer and chisel to shift the hex-headed clamp bolt. (hit the flat end of the chisel with the heavy bit of the hammer)
If that doesn't work try heating the bottom of the fork leg with a blowtorch (if you can't get the bike in the oven) and as its alloy it should free up the bolt and voila ( like a cello but smaller)

Bon chance, mon ami

Tonio - glad you fixed the pads

Those forks were only for you to use while the others were away, I would be terrified if you used them for road or race in that condition they are in tho.
I only kept them for spare parts and they would need to be completely overhauled to be usable at all.

Alan
