stupidest question ever ??
I had a fuel injector problem so I remove both injectors and had one clean but had to replace the other one as it had seized. This has taken the best part of two weeks; I’ve not the best of memory so in the meantime I’ve forgotten which cylinder is which. So the question is:-

Which cylinder is #1 and which is #2 ??????
(oh by the way it’s off a 91 851)

cheers rob

Check the cable on the plugs for the injectors.

They should be marked with an "O" for "Orizzontale" - that's Horizontal in English - and the other will be marked with a "V" for "Verticale" - which is Vertical.

That tells you which connector goes to which cylinder

Do you have a Haynes or Workshop manual that would tell you?

No!!
I downloaded the ducati manual and bought the 91 update and have spent the evening flicking through it trying to find any reference to it but to no avail.
As regards the Haynes manual, do they actually do one? As I’ve spent many-a-hour trawling eBay and I’ve never actually seen one on there.

cheers rob

not the most stupid question ever. I was in the US and was looking to buy a hhhhhonda. I asked the bloke in the shop for a calculator. He said why, i said because I want to convert dollars into pounds. He asked how I was going to do that because pounds are measure of weight! Nuff said.
