Newbie here with a 748S question (and pics of Ducati museum)

I just got back from a trip to Italy on my ZX636 (sorry). Anyway, went on the Ducati factory and museum tour (and visited the Guzzi museum) both were fantastic. Some pics here: http://www.pav.nildram.co.uk/italy/italy.html

Since getting back I have, as you do, started looking for a 748S. I was hoping one of you knowledgeable people can tell me how many grey 748Ss were produced? There's one I have my eye on and I want to know more about them.

Cheers,
Pav

I have one I bought new last year in September, it was a 2002 model and I think thats the only year it was made.

My dealer still has 2 instock a mono like mine and a bip.

I like the diffrerence in colour compared to the rest, get a lot of comments saying it looks nice to

Your in luck liking the grey Pav. Personally I think the single seat grey is the best looking version made, but it would seem not everyone agrees. Dealer stock is still plentiful (so your more likely to get a deal) and second hand ones seem harder to shift (theres been a couple of extremely low mileage examples in the MCN the last 2 weeks).

Best of luck..and glad you saw the light !!

P.S If you buy new..dont pay dealer prices for alarms, ive got loads of genuine ducati ones here that plug straight in !

Cheers

I know its low mileage Pav, but thats a bit steep IMO...im sure Brett wouldnt expect anyone to pay the ticket price so haggle away..!!! Check out tommorrows MCN to see if that low ,mileage one is still available..cant remember the price but it wasnt far off £6.5k...

Good luck
