Decided to take the plunge!
Everthings sorted now just got to agree a price now. I'm after a new 748s, price of £8700 dealer won't budge on it.

I'm hoping to get the alarm or a hugger thrown in but not likely.

Anyone got any idea what I sholud expect to get/not expect to get ?

Looking forward to riding it.

Thanks

Is this a brand new bike?

If second hand, shop around mate, at that price you should get a pristine 748R and could even fetch some very serious stuff like 996S or SPS.

You can also ask the dealer to give you a first service free of charge. It does mean cash out for them and it saves you the expense of £150 or so after your first 1,000 miles.

Cheers

Have to say 8700 seems a bit steep especially if they're not giving you anything extra, surely a 748R isnt much more money? They were going for 9200 at onyerbike last year

Yeah it is new
It's A new 2002 748s in Ti-grey with red wheels. He says as they are no longer being made they will go quick etc.

Might try the free first service route as well.

Thanks

not sure what the std tyres are on a 748s, but if they are the same as i had on my 998, Pirelli Corsa's, i would ask them to upgrade them to Supercorsa's or 207rr's.

Shouldn't cost him much but will save you £200 once you realise how crap the std tyres can be.

If it's a 2002 model bike then it's not new ... so you shouldn't be paying a new price!

Check MCN for second hand prices of 2002 model 748S bikes and do an "in-the-middle" guess and that should be about right.

Other than that ... go for an R !!

Seems very pricey, don\'t steam in there too quickly!!!
Is it pre-registered?
If so, you're in a good position to get a deal.

Its not pre-registered as the one they have in is sold, they said theres about 3-4 left back in the ware house.

I think they see it as they will sell what ever, now they have stopped making them.

So charge full list.

Shop around mate
As others have said, there will be a good few deals on 748R's so why go for the lesser spec bike?
If you are not desperate to buy this minute the winter always unearths some bargain deals.
And there are a couple of secondhand R's in market place if you look back a bit?
