Too cheap to be true ???

The 748S Biposto on the left is my recent purchase. A deal was done at my local dealer with no part chop.

Bike has 5,600 miles, 2 previous owners, it's a 2000 X-reg, Datatag, Spyball Patriot alam/imoboliser, full service history for first two years (3000 miles), Termis with eprom, Single seat, Marchi wheels, braided hoses in mint clean condition, no marks.

The reason I ask is from checking web prices, some vary by two grand more than what I paid !

What would you expect to pay ?
I paid £5167 from a dealer, is that too good to be true and therefore should I expect something is wrong. Or am I just paranoid !!!

Having the 6000 mile service done in new year, expecting the worse...

It seems a good price to me from a dealer. I would expect to pay about £4400 - 4800 private and depending on condition, etc, etc.

I'd say you both have a good deal...
I thought the second hand price for a good condition 748 Bip '00 would be about £5800. (well that's what I've been seeing anyway)
Mind you depends on what the service history is like, the mods etc.
I'd say with no service history for the past two years you are looking at shelling out some dosh for worn parts on your service. I 'spose that depends on what mileage it has done in the last two years.

Its did 600 miles in 2003, 2000 miles this year, all since last warranty service in November 2002.

Was up for £5500 but knocked them down to £5167 over two weeks haggling and walking out of shop a few times !

From what I can gather Cornerspeed are the local people for me to use and will be paying them a visit soon to see what there about...

The price sounds about right, especially for this time of year where bikes just don't shift and the salesmen all want their bonus and space for the new bikes next year!

Where is Mr Murray when you need a comment on the market?
