Sgt.Law
dont worry, no one does "bad" at the DSC, not for long anyhow
Just get out there , test ride some bikes, and ride, but remember the stats
Accidents/injuries/fatalities are mostly either in the under 20 age bracket, or those "born again bikers" at 50 plus years young
I guess at 55 yrs young I fall into latter category which is why I went for the gutless, underpowered 600ss before moving up to something a likkle less tame ie the 900ssie
Im sure you are very capable, but remember around every bend, theres a muppet at 20 mph or worse still, a tractor droppin loadsa diesel and hay on the road, or even worse than than that, stationary...........and you is doing 100 plus and need to stop in 50 metres.............very painful if not deadly.
OK so lets not put the mockers on this, there are a lot of powerful userfriendly bikes and some are dukes that will fit the bill
go with what you feel comfortable with, dont need to pose too much (unless its a blooo duke) and enjoy the thrills that bike riding brings with it
an old, but fairly safe mort
