chain size

track bike build taking place,

would it be ok to run my 998s engine on a 520 chain and sprockets,

kinda assuming that (unless im wrong) the 748rs make similar power and runs a 520?

its just that at the moment i have a 520 chain and sprockets and dont have a 525. what do ya think guys, anyone know?

520 would be fine, less drag / weight etc. etc. as long as you use a good quality race chain, DID is my choice.

525 would last longer though but if its just for track days and you're not doing race starts you'll be fine with 520.

Mood: just love my slipper clutch
i running 520 chain and 6mm light weight sprockets on 999r jhp said will be fine for trackdays and road use because thats what they use on their race bikes i know they change them regular but they do get a lot of hammer .
