I read a test somewhere that showed very little difference between wavies and standard in one off braking performance. However apart from the obvious better fade resistance, the wavies had a fairly big improvement in flickability. Can't remember the exact numbers but the rate of change of angle went from something like 130° per second to 170°.

The reason for the improvement was put down to the lower sprung weight.
