Hyper clutch alternatives - what fits?

evening all,

Rumour has it that the 'dry' type clutch packs are largely all interchangeable irrespective of model/series, can anyone confirm this?

Pretty much so, I fitted a oem 748R slipper clutch to my 2009 Monster 1100 DS
I see there is one of these on Ebay at the moment for 299

Apparently the spring caps are different (deeper) like the 1098 to reduce lever pressure.
You may want to double check and possibly reuse your original spring caps if they are different.

Spring weights/lengths have changed to. That's the main reason the cap dimensions have altered. Long spring with short cap leads top spring locking out..

.....but better in YELLOW, or Bloo and now even RED

So reuse the original springs and caps and you should be good!

I would have thought Spring lengths and Cap lengths should be matched to the Post length of the Back plate, so if fitting a 748R Slipper clutch it's probably best to fit the whole lot

So, looking at the one on the bay of evil, it's a 'ramp' style, but how do these compare to the 'bearing' style?

What was in my 749r as I felt that one worked OK for me

I have 748R ramp ones in my 996 and my M1100 and bearing ones in my 998R and my 998 Hybrid and find there is little difference, once you get the end gap set correctly
