The old Xantia estate eh Tonio-brilliant car, hope you got the turbo diesel-I did 130,000 miles in mine, had a TD saloon before that. I run a TD Passat now as I never liked the CX.
All you need now mate is a towbar and trailer and you are all set.

I have already a french trailer.
I am going to install a british towbar, somebody knows if both are compatible (I mean the electric plug) ?

And about the plug ? Do english trailer plugs look like this http://205d.free.fr/remorque/prise_2.gif or they are ALSO different ?

From memory that looks ok to me. Best thing to do is hook it up and checkthe lights, you can always move them round in the plug.
