when i stripped mine out, i put the bike on a front and rear stand, then put an axle stand under the front cyl. that left the front assy easy to get out. i then used the centre stand that runs through the rear of the case and removed the rear subframe etc. once the rocker was undone and removed the rear stand was taken out leaving the rear wheel on the ground and the moter and swingarm still attached. the motor is supported by the centre stand and an axle stand under the front cyl. then just undo the two bolts and lift the frame off the top. my "bit" sat there for three weeks until the frame came back from the painters. reassembly took about 10 hours including tidying up the wiring. |
