brancato mirror extensions

yes they work!!! ordered from tony yesterday arrived this morning -thats what i call service-- on the bike by 2o'clock -on the road by 10 past 2 enjoyed the somewhat chilly 100 mile ride but now can see behind me to overtake a few more cars!!!! much more fun-----also tony gave me a little tip that i also tried, to lessen the carb icing problem-that also seemed to work, turn the trumpets on top of the airbox away from the front so not so much cold air is being forced into the airbox-i managed about an eight'h of a turn to the side i may try turning them towards each other on my next ride-- with the ultimate unleaded, shell pro fst and turning the trumpets the carb icing is virtually eliminated now

sorry nat,
havent got a piccie(no digital camera) but there is one on another thread somewhere on the site- they do look a bit bulky and some may consider that they look cack, but being a rather broad shouldered build i find them a neccessity for a safer ride- but i was wondering wether to paint them red as per other threads with the plastikote paint available from halfords to help disguise them a bit, i might paint the mirrors as well but then it may just be too much red----or is it a case that you just cant have too much red!!!

do you know if anyone has tried the trumpet turning idea with any success?

Nat,

I have been wondering about alternative makes of mirror, for all the same reasons. There are some pretty nice options that would add an extra inch each side and probably look a little less "barn door" like.
