Put the standard cans on. Even with db killers the bike will still be above their noise limit. It's so s%$t when you go and can't play. Don't go on a full weekend, it gets to busy ( it can get a bit hairy when too busy). I used to go for a long weekend and stay on for a weekday play (when it can be allmost empty) which is best for learning the track.

Mav is definitely your man. Not going this year, been for the last two. I actually prefer the roads around the Ring to the Ring itself. Spending too much time at the Ring itself gets a bit boring - my humble opinion.
they were pretty serious when i went - if your cans look non standard they'll pull you over and noise check you - after the gate so you lose your lap aswell even if you can change your cans.
i was lucky - i was staying with bren and suz at sliders guest house and bren had some standard duc cans
I asked Mav the same question (about the noise) and he said it wasn't worth the risk. They were pulling up most V-twins and testing them. You fail, you don't get to play.
Standard cans are going back on for me... although a mate of mine was there two years ago on a 748R with 50mm cans and had no bother all weekend....
The other thing about that weekend (8th to 11th July) is that there is a truck GP on the GP circuit so accomodation was already scarce when we got ours booked.
...ya put ya termi's on (new)...ya put ya termis off ('ring)...ya put ya termi's on (summer)..ya put ya termi off (MOT)... all together now...on, off,on off shake it all about....
as we saying that every v-twin goes back to standard cans?
