Quick Snet report from Yesterday

Morning All ...

Went to Snet yesterday with Ali, Dickie and Martin. I was feeling a bit rough in the morning, which I put down to too much beer but I steadily got worse throughout the day until I decided to go have a sleep in the van and skip a session or two. Unfortunately I didn't get any better so I did three sessions in all - a bit disappointing really.

In the end I achieved what I wanted to by learning the circuit and trying the clip-ons I had on. What I didn't achieve was a decent time and finish off sorting out the forks. They are still bottoming under hard braking (nearly ran on in the Esses and had to park it) but after feeling like excrement and not being able to get the fork tops off without a herculean effort we benched that idea for now. I'll put another cap full of oil in each leg before I go back to Snet and try it out on the track day (which has now become a lot more important to me). The clip-ons were too low, I had to move my left arm out of the way each time I wanted to change gear because my knee was hitting my elbow too much. I'd like a set that were an inch and a half higher then those .... well I think so anyway ...

Thanks to Dickie for the ibuprofen, the bbq, the accomodation and good company on Sunday night. Thanks to Ali for the same and for shoving more ibuprofen down my neck at the services on the way back. I felt good after that ... until they faded ...

Roll on raceday!
