Just a thought, what’s the situation going to like for those poor sods that don't get through scrutinering on the first DD race day, I’m sure that there are going to be loads of fellow riders offering their help but on the day they may just to busy themselves to give much assistance. Is there any other sources of technical know how available?

scruitineering shouldn't present a problem - it really is an MOT-like check of wheel/swingarm bearings, non-leaking fork seals, tyres fit to use, lockwired sump, bore and stroke on c/cases, vent into bottle, lock-stops work, everything's done up tight, got kill-switch, brakes work etc etc.
All basic stuff.

Cheers for that Daz, and welcome to the site.

I'll have a glass of Wolf Blass Merlot thanks mate

Are you doing scrutineering for any of the clubs? Involved in New Era?

Nah, not me, I'm an ex-club racer, did 5 years '88-92. The only time I failed sctuineering was when I was so skint I was trying to blag a leaky seal here or non-snappy throttle there! I suppose it could have all changed since then but I doubt it ;-)
