A dyno is only the same as running your bike under load. Are they saying dont run your bike flat out?

I aggree about the termi lookalikes........the stickers are only £6

I changed my original pipes to 45mm Termi's on my 748S about 6 months ago. I bought a chip from JHP but never got it fitted. The bike runs so so so much smoother and in my opinion better than it did with the original cans on I never bothered to fit the chip. I will get it looked at when it gets it next service to get Nelly's opinion.

There is an issue with certain types of dyno. When the operator shuts the throttle its possible to damage something in the engine. Cant remember what it damages or which type of dyno does it but a very reliable person told me about it!

All dyno runs i have seen have been till the rev limiter cuts in.

That's for a testeretta based engine though, when you will need a complete ECU, not just a chip like on the older models

If you run a 2 stroke with petroil mix on a dyno and allow the engine to slow down with the dyno roller (which takes some time), with the throttle shut, it will probably seize. Maybe this is the type of damage you have heard about?? Run my Duke quite a few times on a dyno, no worse than doing a track day.

Ducati Performance chips are £27 inc VAT from a dealer, and take 5 minutes to fit.

Don't forget to order a replacement "DO NOT REMOVE" sticker and fit that too
