Mood: R U thinking what I'm thinking?......Oh dear!
SW,
Just had a look and he's sold it.
Back on topic, unless you are very attached to a bike I would always go for the "best" standard bike you can. If you wanna stick with the "classic" shape thats got to be a 998 of some sort, the stretta engine is a leap forward.
Flog yer 916 at the height of the selling season and buy a 998 at the bottom of the season.
Engine swaps are a way forward in some cases but I would always be a bit concerned for re sale. Tuning can get very expensive on a bang for buck level, again resale might be an issue.
i did see that one indeed Skids... but Jim is gonna want to offer bottom line... .and i don';t have the £1000 or so needed currently....
Jim may well be a definate option closer to the time though.
Selling mine Ray. Can't sell mine in high season and purchase in low as it means i'm then without bike for the good times... that would not be a happy solution.
Then you'll find that the 916 has plenty of power.
Who needs more than 100bhp on the road?
You're all mad
I'd put £1000 of somone elses money on the fact that none of you with 130+ bhp can use it properly anyway. If you could you'd be winning TT's and Superbike races.

i cant even use the 62 from my DD bike properly.
come to think of it neither can you.
to be far though, its quite good fun trying to keep hold of 140bhp+ on a country b road.
