Question DP Air filter - Clean and reuse??

I wanted to get some input if it's OK to wash out the DP air filter with kerosene or gas.

Or is that a bad idea and I shouldn't be so cheap and go out and buy a new one?

Thanks -

scott

Don't use either. Your need to buy some Filter Cleaner and some Filter Oil.

I use Spectro stuff on the 749. I remove the filters and clean them in the laundry sink (its in a spray aerosol can). You then rinse them in warm water and allow to air dry or dry with paper towels. You then lighty re-oil the exterior face on the filter with filter oil (spray aerosol also) and allow to air dry for twenty minutes or so and reinstall.

Job done. Have a beer or two
