Westgate road trip, Dukes and Boots !!!

My special 'prize' yesterday for enduring a SECOND visit to Ikea in a month - was getting to spend a couple of hours wandering up and down Westgate road, the infamous biker haunt in Newcastle.

First place of interest - M&S cycles, sneaked a sit on a 749s (while no-one was looking) but I have to say I dont think I could cope with that riding position......

Much nicer was the ST4s I also hopped on...good seat/bars/footrest positioning - but there was a nasty lump under the seat !!! no not on me !!!

They also dont appear to have many problems selling bikes as there were a few 748's and a 996 with 'sold' stickers on them.

They STILL have the nice silver 900SS-FE that has been there for a while if anyone is seeking.

Despite (or possibly because of) my boots piccy, I've been keeping my eyes open for a pair of cumfy flash boots......I tried the Sidi Vertabrae2 boots and was unimpressed I'm sad to say, nice boots but they did not fit my foot shape at all.

Then I was offered a pair of Oxtar boots to try and they were MUCH better fitting.

Anyone tried or can recommend these at all? Just tried a search and have found them £20 cheaper than I was offered already!

Cheers - Frank
