Quite right about the can .... RaceFit item. Me and a couple of mates knocked it up for fun 2 years ago when we built my WSB replica. Now they make cans as a small business and have had success with getting a few cans on to BSB race teams etc.
We did a GP system with a single can under the seat for the back cylinder and the front cylinder had a pipe that kicked out under the rear brake pedal through a cut out in the belly pan.
Pic's of that are on Ducati9 site as a customers bike.
I had been after a good BSB or WSB rep for a while. Managed to get my hands od a pucka 996 Red Bull Rep , love it. One of only twenty produced in the UK. IMHO they are all superb machines race rep or not - enjoy the season is upon us! Cheers SPS
I would like to do replica paint job from the early days of the 916
either the Duckhams paint job as ridden by Simpson and Moodie, two reasons I have one of the original 955 engines from that team I also have a Ex V&M Duckhams CBR600
or I wouldn't mind doing a copy of Hizzys Devimead Ducati
I still keep coming back to the idea of doing my 748 in Repsol colours ( the old Doohan style rather than the newer Rossi ones ) - YES YES, I know technically its wrong as it should be on a Honda, but then :
a) My bike isnt really a WSB / BSB / GP bike. b) I'm not really a WBS / BSB / GP rider, so its all a pose anyway. c) Nobody else will have one. d) I'd have to sell the Duc and buy a Honda to have it correct.
It would look really good though and suit the bike shape
Not strictly a race rep but it is really nice. Built by the mechanic at my local dealer. It is based around a 955SP and really built up from scratch. 100% carbon bodywork, radial brakes, cut out clutch housing, matt black mag 10 spoke Marchi's. The Fila decals fit nicely too.
