Question power commanders pc111
A'm I right in thinking that they are capable of being programmed for each cylinder individualy or is it both together,
also where is the closest place to me in devon, who can do the dyno work to make the maps as my locals dyno does both pipes as one, ie not for each cylinder,
any and all information on the power commander I need it all,
thanks

I have been trying to figure this out, on the PC3 program screen when 'advanced' map is selected the table is split into two, does this mean that an advanced map has been set up with both cylinders adjusted individually and the 'basic' setting is both cylinders together ?????

Is the advanced map any better ??

I am fairly certain that you can't map individual cylinders. The advanced mapping is to have two different maps in the PC and then select which one to use via an external switch.

They can be done individually. It seems rare that they are though. It would be normal practice to run the rear pot a bit richer cos they run hotter.

why does the rear cylinder run hotter, it's not like the air cooled bikes, the cooling should be the same for both cylinders,
so has any one had there pc111 maps done for both cylinders, ?

I would presume you can. I know I can on my 800 cos I've done it.

Cos your bike is still air-cooled to some extent and relies on the passage of air through it from front to rear. The rear will run hotter cos it gets less flow of air across it and what it does get comes from the front pre-heated due to passing over the rad and the front pot.

You will find that the old 4valvers can be mapped individually on each pot with an FIM chip.

There's a pretty good Q&A thread about his in here recently from some bloke based up north...do a search and I'm sure you'll find it.

adavanced map
The advanced map mode is for the mapping of the individual cylinders which need to have lamba sencer fixings in each cylinder to be able to map and then the mapping is spot on for the relivant cylinders. Normal practice is to use the base map set up for road use.
hope this helps.
