Ohlins rear shock

Stupid question time.
How much difference will it make to my bike if I fit an Ohlins race rear shock?
I am running a 748R which currently has the standard fit showa rear shock.

I used to have a showa but now have ohlins and, very humble and not too informed opinion, it makes loads of diferenec. I could turn in a couple of clicks on the showa to get some affect, just 1 on the ohlins and you can feel it
