Running out of funds i`m afraid mate, the bike is now home, but needs a new battery as the old one isn`t holding it`s charge.Going to try and get the nose cone and screen on at the weekend, the carbon side fairings have been put on the back burner for a while,I have the decals, but not the money for paint The bike sounds fantastic since I got it back, lots crisper, compression restored etc can`t wait to get it on the road

Sparkin, the bike looks good. Have always liked white wheels since my original 1990 851. My 888 is still in bits in the garage, might be able to get working on it now the weather is a bit warmer. Where did you get the exhaust hangers? I have just got a pair of Sil Motor cans off a Superlight and need the swept back hangers to match.

That's turned out real nice. One of the prettiest 888s I've seen.

(I agree with Douglas about the early 851s. My first 900ss had the white frame and wheels too, and it really turned heads).

The hangers are one-offs made by Carl Harrison M/Cs to carry the 50mm SP system.I`m still contemplating how I`m going to do the carbon side panels,I have a set of original decals, but I`m not sure if I should leave some carbon showing thru or not, like the number one on the seat unit is,probably the bottom air vents(996R style),or should I just do it as standard or even race replica like the picture earlier in the thread ,what do you think chaps?

I would,as you have already stated, put the standard decals on,but leave the bottom air vents in carbon.
