748B 50MM Chip, Help Required
Hi all

I have been given about 7 50mm Ducati Performance chips, as the guy didnt know if they were working, would anyone be able to help me out and test them? the only reason i ask is because i have just gone from a 50mm system back to a 45mm and cant check myself, anyone around Lincolnshire that could do the honours and test them out for me? obviously there will be something in it for you

Cheers

Rob

The chips will pretty much either run the bike or it won't start at all.

If you need help with identifying the chips, try here:

Plug 'em in then! There is no other way to test unless you have an expensive eprom reader or the Ducati tool, or some kind of homemade test harness.

Any faulty ones are probably due to being incorrectly fitted rather than bad from the factory.

Running a 50mm chip on a 45mm system won't do anything except waste fuel and make it run lumpy(er).

As offered previously ... I work in an electronics company and can test-read and/or copy chips ... but you'll have to either post them to me in sunny sussex or hand them over at cadwell next sunday and I'll post them back.
