strpping exhaust cans

Hi All
For various reasons I'm tying to take apart a standard exhaust can from an SS.
I have removed the 3 pop rivets and removed the end outlet from the can. Thats as far as I can get.

Should the sleeve come off next? I have tried to loosen it from the pipe end but it wont move, any ideas?

Thanks
Andy

Hello Andy. have done this myself. on a '99 bike with fuel injection, for various reasons! Once you have knocked the end off the silencer yes the sleeve is next, try taping the pipe with a rubber hammer, it will go, be patient and gentle. . Make sure you mark its position for the mounting holes!! Good luck
