Extra bracket on termi\'s

happy new year to you all and hope Santa did us all proud!

over the holidays I started to fit my 45mm termi's and noticed on the right pipe there are two brackets with threads which are not on my stock pipes, any ideas what I am supposed to attach? too high for footrest so am presuming a heat shield of some sort but why do I need one for these cans and where do I get them if I do actully need one?

Cheers

Must be mounting point for the SPS style heat guard - the L-shaped one rather than the square one that mounts on the central link pipe?

antonye is absolutely right, made the same conversion myself recently - make sure you get the correct shield as there seem to be a couple of different sizes (I measured the distance between the threads to make sure I got the right one) Also don't forget the chip for the ECU and then setting up afterwards. Worth the work just for the sound!!
