I'm holding fire on the 1000 until I see the series actually get off the ground. One thing you need to remember with these bikes is that the ECU's are not tuneable - they cannot be remapped. Also, the integrated instruments/ECU/immobiliser is a complete pain in the ass for racing. You know the story on this anyway Tony.
Leasing you say ... hrmmm .... that's interesting ... I think we might need to have a chat
I think the 1000 ECU is able to be remapped. But I don't think it matters for Thunderbikes, you'd be allowed to swap them because they allow more tuning than minitwins.

A very cunning plan indeed!
I've just started having those thoughts myself ... although, that means the 998R won't get ridden as much ... I feel bad about not riding it that much since I've had it. But I won't race it.

nope - it is 94/95hp depending on whether fitted to ss/ms or monster, due to differences in the pipework. Mine makes 98 now, from 95 dyno'd std, purely with fitting good qual MHP cans.

HTIOH?

Well it depends upon the dyno of course - here's where I took my reference from:
Life's too short - I can't be bothered. I've quoted a respected Ducati tuner - a couple of bhp either way doesn't really matter. I'll be interested to see what mine delivers when I get it.
fair enough. I was just quoting ducati specs, but dont mention to Domski & some of the DD boys about a 'couple of hp' - as the difference in 6 - 10hp is loads for the 583's & 620's!
