Who's is this???

does anybody recognise this bike?
it's a 98 748bp and has obviously been to protwins at some point.
I ask as i'm hopefully going to test ride it this weekend so any history would be nice.
also what should i be looking out for and look to pay? about £3k?
many thanks.

Only that they'd look better in black

Most wheels of this age will have picked up a few nicks from stone chips etc and the ones on my ST are getting a bit bubbled. It's not unusual for them to have been refinished.

I guess the only slight concern is if the refinishing was to hide crash damage

the plan is,
as i've not been on one of these before i am going to try the yellow one above to see if i get on with the riding position and if so buy a proper red one from an enthusiast such as your mate.
so i will not know if i'm in the market untill then.
all being well with the ride i will sort the funds, i was only looking to spend about £3200 but could probably stretch to £3500 for the right bike and your mates does push all the right buttons. so i will pm you next week to confirm either way.
cheers.
