996BP, yr2000 help
Going to check out a 996BP tomorrow with FDSH and Silmotor (chipped) exhaust.

Generally is there anything I be wary of?

Any help appreciated!

Paul

See if you can get a look in the header tank, and check for emulsified oil+water. Speaking from experience here

Hey I've got a yr2000 996BP with Sil Motor cans ....

Usual stuff with service history relating to mileage and age. Make sure the heads have been off and the rockers have been checked. I didn't do this when I bought mine and replaced 8 rockers and had to get one of the cam lobes polished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, thats 8!!!

I'm not really sure about the others but lookup Shazaam's posts ....

All you have to do is paint over the undercoat now
