After many tears being a DID fan, I've now "discovered" Tsubaki. The shear size of their Sigma R chain is unbelievable and the quality second to none. Of course, DID is still excellent chain, and if you stayed with that brand, think about ordering Afam. It's the very same chain, made by DID and put in different packaging and is cheaper. If you wanted the best tho' I'd say Tsubaki. As far as sprockets go, Talon, Renthal or Afam are all good front choices. As for the rear, you can stay with the original configuration and go for OE Ducati or a pattern from B&C Express, for instance. You could change to a "quick release" carrier, and whilst it's more expensive first time around, once you have the carrier the sprockets are cheaper. Again, Talon, Renthal, Afam etc. all do the carrier and sprockets to suit.
I recently replaced c&s with gold did 525 erv chain, replaced standard 15t front with new 15t front and 38T rear with STM quick change carrier. I lost about 5 mph off top end and better options for sprocket changes in the future. Costs more though.
