Maybe thats how he got to be so big!
Its too easy to knock MCN,yep, they print some howlers and some of the features are utter nonsence, but we still keep buying it!
Why?
Well because there is no competition. Now in the days of Motor Cycle Weekly, blah, blah, blah, etc.

I say let everybody have there own opinion and speak their mind openly.
Good on yer Vman.

I buy MCN each week and have done since the ark came to rest, but some things have to be taken with a pinch of salt and the overall product accepted for what it is, ie trying to apeal to everyone involved mwith two wheels.
Amen!

Now where`s the polish and dusters!

I'm not knocking the 999, but they never **** the R1 off in its old guise. The "old" Ducati is a classic bike & will be for some years- certainly not "dead" or "ex-bike" or "deceased".
Christ, they've only just stopped making it & all of a sudden, its not cool to own one!

Whether you agree or disagree...If you have a feeling about what is printed then it has served it's purpose...
Personally I do like my chips out of MCN...Seems to taste nicer:P

Yeah skidlids but think...Duckworth on an R1 and you on a CBR600...must be the same power to weight ratio

Blimey, all that weight stripped off a race bike, then with Duckworth on board you can add an extra 80 kilos to the average riders weight. Think what that would do to your braking distances, and it would be like you carrying most of that extra weight in a rucksack, what would that do to the handling !!!!

Lord help his suspension technician as well!

Made me laugh as well in the Twin for 5 grand review... They are saying in the cons about the Duke that it doesn't make anymore than 600cc latest offerings... which in essence is true, but surely this is missing the point about twins. How can they compare peak power on a 4 achieved around 12,000rpm+ with utlisation range of about 2,000rpm vs a Twin that has almost twice the grunt of a 600cc from very low revs. I read MCN every week but I am a bit tired of the fuss about jap power, jap lightweightness (...with no fluids in), latest radial brakes that have transformed the braking (yeah right my a**!). For journalist I feel like they yield a bit too easy to the fashion set by bike manufacturers... Oh well they need to make sure money is still coming in from advertising!
