have a look at your license, I think it should have an expiry date printed on the provisional motorbike bit

It shows i ahve motorbike entitlement from 20.02.02 to 02.02.54..... so what does that tell me about this suspension thing?

shows it no longer applied I guess...I know I ran out once and had to re-apply because of the two year ruling and thought it was still in place.

I did a 5 day intensive, found it excellent as I didn't have to own a bike and used the companys. If you've been riding regualary, my suggestion is 3 days followed by test, so that you are in 'test mode' automatically and it will ease some of the nerves you may show. Just priced up for my wife and around £300-£400 all in.

Mine was £470 with rental of bike and gear and CBT included...
I also spent 4 Sundays doing slow manouevres, U turns, figure of 8s etc so I could go out immediately on a ride out with the instructor instead of practising
