shiny bits.......

What is it about going into a Ducati showroom that makes you forget that you are not gonna spend any cash?

Managed to freeze off some of my extremeties today in venturing 90 odd miles down to JHP to drop the bike off. All set for her just to have a service... but oh no.... I think I may have caught "rattler itis"... within minutes I was looking at shiny bits and just agreeing to them being added to the list of things to be done to the bike...

Was this just the cold playing tricks with my head or have I been influenced by reading too many of Tim's posts??

But it seemed to be playing tricks with Freak as well and he had been in the nice warm car.... that 999r was whispering to him.....

btw nice to meet ya Mav

Do not underestimate the power of the Dark side !
It calls the weak minded most loudly

One of the good things in having such a CR*P dealership over here is that there is nothing to drool over in my local showroom !

Pedro

Sorry we didn't say hello, we only recognised Mav because of the van....

I was only staring at the 749 in shock ay how hideous it is!!! Don't get me wrong, the R is far better than the standard, but it just looks scruffy.

but I did have to leave the glass display area rather quickly when Freak pointed out the brake conversion kits..... soooo shiny

Hang on, hang on......

And who exactly is paying for your bike to be serviced and Johnny Hackett's ?

That's right, it's me isn't it! So don't go trying to make out you're having to stop yourself over shiny bits !!!

Mav, nice to meet you, I think we had a good chat, and pretty much put the world to rights LOL !!!!

And for the record the 749R, may well be a good bike, but whoever designed the larger tank, and even more so, the cut and shove weld job on the tank was appauling, think whoever welded that was doing his city and guilds !!!
