Two types. one for old swing arm, second for the latter black arm.
Is it the "banana" style pipework?
filters yes, cpu debateable, pc111 + RR essential.
if buying second hand expect the ECU to be useless, so budget for a Power commander.
the full systems with Ti cans were discounted and available as 'just pipework' system for about £1700 new. the 749R system (with filters, ecu and trumpets) is/was £2700 ish. but you'll be lucky to find one 2nd hand.

It is the earlier version pipework ( not Banana ) but the first 749R kit with the intake funnels etc had this kind of pipework as well, do not know if you can tell the difference just looking at it ??
I had heard that the later (new swinging arm ) pipework would fit the older swinging arm but older pipework would not fit the later swinging arm ?
I am also thinking about upgrading my assymetric system to a full 57mm system but see conflicting comments on various websites. Some say it makes a huge diffrence. some say it makes little difference - reduces midrange - puts a flatspot in midrange.
Appreciate some feedback from fellow 749r owners on real life experiences !
