My vote goes to a 800 Monster Dark. Excellent riding position/visibility, not outrageously fast, good hooligan potential and a very under-stressed motor. A mint low-mileage one on autotrader should set you back no more than £5k, keep it garaged and the insurance could be manageable.
Or you could bet the £6k on the 3.30pm at Goodwood, and spend the winnings on 999R....
I doubt very much whether you'll get any insurance for a superbike at your age.You might want to check a few insurance companies before committing to anything. That said, theres bound to be something for you---er, monsters?,ss's?. Depend what you want-faired or unfaired?,If your a new rider you wont want something too quirky.(monster again?) And if your determined to get a ducati,I'd stash away some of your budget to properly service it as they're bikes you neglect at your peril.
Completely forgot you need to have restrictions. Make that a 750 Monster.
>In which case go for a 900 SL
You don't want a Superlight. They're nonsense. Not enough of em around. They're the sort of bike that should be left in carefully humidity-controlled garages for the next 20 years, and then sold to me for peanuts when mine wears out!
