Chain and Sprocket

I've got to get a new chain set for my 748, and would like to get a good gold chain and change the gearing slightly, (one less on the front and a few more on the back). Can anybody tell me the best place (and best price) to go to.

Might struggle with clearance if you go down one at the front. Doesnt the 748 already run a 14 tooth front?

The 748 already runs a 14 front, & 13 fronts are now not available ( although nelly will loan you his if you ask him nicely ) You will need a carrier, a 41 rear sprocket (that is 3 up from standard) a 96 link chain, Tzubaki Sigma (gold) from B&C Express, they also do the carriers % sprockets (Renthal) 01522 791369.

got mine from nelly - give him a shout. Went up 2 on the rear, kept the front the 14t same. Notice the difference coming out of roundabouts etc, but bit more vibey on the mways.

I have a 748 bp which runs a 15 tooth front. Is Nelly about the cheapest to get it from? Are the sprokets steel or alloy?

Try Robsom Racing on 01789 450822, they supply top quality kit like Talon and Renthal but at discount prices.

Very hard to beat on quality, service and price.

I got my rear sprockets (38t and 40t) with carrier from http://www.ducati-shed.com/ for a total of £118.50

I bought a new front 14t from Ducati (£20 I think) and then a Tsubaki Sigma-R chain for £70 from B&C Express - http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/

You'll need a 96 link chain if you change from the standard 14/38 setup.

How come you've got a 15t front then, and what are you running on the rear? The only 748 that runs a 15t front is the R I thought...
