Castle Combe noise regs....

What are the race noise regs for CC?

I received my race paperwork yesterday and it stated that a noise test must be passed.

I assume that this is not as stringent as the 105db for the recent trackday, but does anyone know what it is?

Ta muchly
Tim

According to the ACU handbook (page 172)...

Noise is limited to 105db @ 5,500 revs!!

I might be in trouble then - i was on the limit of 105db for the recent trackday, but I thought that would have been for a "quiet day".

I assumed that they had a few race days there that would have been "full noise" days.

Oh well, best get the drill and baffles out!!

At the end of the recent Fowlers trackday I asked the CC organiser about the noise regs for the race meeting, and his answer was that it is under ACU control not theirs, so my understanding is that if we were ok at Cadwell we should be ok at Combe.................................

Ahh - nice one, I was tested at Cadwell and no one complained, so i assume all is OK - I'll be bringing my drill and baffles just in case.

I would have a back up plan just in case Tim. I suspect Castle Combe are more fastidious than other circuits because of their PR problems. My car failed CC noise check on a recent track day.
