Jools,

Back to the topic.......

You can take Paracetamol for the pian and Ibuprofen for the inflamation. They are not contra-indicated so you can take them both at the same time.

I know nothing about it, but he's pretty good. He was European champ two years ago at the age of nine in the under 13s category!

Could've been your nephew I was sparring with Ant...he was a black belt, but he wasn't very old - probably 15 or so. Still, quite tall for his age and a lot, lot faster than an old giffer like me....beaten up by a kid...oh, the shame.

arrrrr....then !! i think that is what i would call a Gagu mawashi or hook kick..summit different to an ushiro...........yeah u gotta block them just not with your fingers.....heheheehhehe

Yes, he's been doing since a very young age - about 5 or 6 I think, so we're hopefully looking at a future champ if he does stick with it.

Despite his age he's actually got a string of girlfriends and is quite a hit with the ladies.

Takes after his uncle

Mood: Almost over it.
I'm still getting over my knee reconstruction 6 weeks ago, but I've been back riding now for about 2 weeks. My regime is the following:

- 3 Ibupfrofin tablets each day. One roughly every 8 hours. These not only beat pain, but they are also anti-inflammatory, which will help swelling.

- Massage with Tiger Balm red each evening. This is applying heat.

- After the massage, apply ice. Actually I have a special cryo-cuff thing that I wear.

- Gym maybe twice per week on the stationay bike and step machine.

- I'm also having physio twice per week.

I'm finding that riding, with knee bent sharply, is getting much easier. I think holding the leg bent in a painful position for an extended period of time is a very good thing as it increases the knee's range. But this has to be followed up with ice to reduce swelling.

My tuppence worth.
