Wanted: UK Beam deflector for 916-style Headlight
My 748 needs a UK deflector plate for the headlight, apparently!

I've managed to cut and weld the EU one that was in there, but it's a bit of a mess so really needs replacing.

Does anyone have a broken headlight unit they no longer want?

Will exchange for beer tokens

Antonye,

I took out my EEC one, drew round it and made a template, then cut a new one out of a Coke can to a mirror image.

Been through at least 4 MOT's like that...no problems and only cost 50p.
I gave the Coke to my boy as I hate the stuff!

SORTED!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Chris,

I'm only after the deflector.
You can disassemble the light:
- take the two dome nuts off the back and pull off the metal cover
- there are 4 screws holding the projector unit into the casing, undo these
- undo the 2 bigger phillips screws and the projector will come apart
- inside is a small bent plate held in place with a phillips screw - that's what I need!

If you have this, let me know as that's what I'm after...

I got a UK reflector a couple of years back from Baines Racing at Silverstone for a couple of quid.

Do you happen to have a contact number, as I'm going to have to source the very same thing.

Turns out my early 916 has been fitted up with EU headlight
