Exclamation Heated Grips or Hand Warmers - Warning

During the last couple of weeks I have been in "consultation" with a certain motorcycle glove manufacturer, and in the course of one discussion an interesting comment was made as follows:

Subject - Waterproof Motorcycling Gloves
Comment - When riders are using any form of heating device to keep their hands warm they risk degrading the specialist materials that are used to make the gloves waterproof - this also applies to the gel padding used to make the palms more comfortable.

Timelines were not given as this is dependent on the actually materials used, but you have been warned.
