Chain & Sprockets for 600ss

Anybody got any idea about a good combination for the 600SS in terms of sprockets, and also what is the standard size or ratio?

I'm looking to up the rear, bust obviously also need to take into account the chain links for the wheelbase.

Anybody looked into this yet?

I know I've got a 14 front, but haven't got round to counting the back yet

Hi Ant,

Mine came with a 15 front and 41 back. Seems about right for road use.

14 41 is what i had and as Ali said fine for road but way over geared !! even for Cadwell.....I have changed mine to a more suitable ratio, and it required a longer chain i think the standard was 96......i now have a 120 linker...leaves me some spare links if required...

Cool, thanks guys.

I'll go and check the current rear tonight then get a load ordered up so I've got a selection to play with.

May well just go the "overly long" chain route and then cut it down as needed

I've just been out and counted - 14 / 41 on there at the moment with the 96 link chain.

I'm going to stick an order in for a range with a 98 link chain, and hopefully it will all work!
