RE: muffled muffler!!

The only place i've seen them is on this German website:-

http://www.kaistra.de/ducati/teile/auspuff.html

or on eBay (search worldwide).

You Wouldn\'t.....would you?

Just followed the link to the German 'Auspuff' site....

It may just be me, but surely there should be some sort of commentary going on for a 999 with an exhaust like this....

Somthing like "But what's this...Penelope Pitstop has slowed right down to check her eyeshadow in the reflection from Dastardly's mufflers"

Just did a Babel Fish translation:

Quote:
The railway Eater is manufactured for the open DUCATI TERMIGNONI (749 and 999) plant. They reduce the volume into the range of the road permission inside. There is from full turned aluminium parts, which were measured on the achievement test stand. It can come from machine to machine to tolerances, however an average value was determined by approx. -1PS, on the basis of the running equipment performance.

I'd be suprised if you only drop 1PS looking at the reduction of the rear outlet area...
