Replacement oil cooler source ?

Does anyone know of a decent source for used oil coolers ? The stones and road debris out here have totally wrecked my original oil cooler to the extent taht my oil is overheating and losing pressure.

It looks beyond repair;as a result I need to replace it and a used rather than new would be ideal !

Try Jim at Bikenders - he's a star and always has parts I need, no matter how obscure. Prices are good.

rebuild or buy new?

have you tried repairing it for example Serck Marston to rebuild the unit. Not sure how expensive but they did my radiator on my winter hack (r6) for £80 a little while ago?

this is dependant where you are in the world UK should be ok anywhere else~???

Thanks for the responses.

I will try to get it repaired locally in Istanbul first then; normally they are pretty good here for repairs but the place I took it to first in Çorlu ( 100km west of Istanbul!) just cleaned it and snt it back as it was

Otherwise next time I am back in the UK it will get replaced !

Does it leak? If not then what is the problem? As long as the cores are ok then it's ok to use albeit a bit scruffy. I just protect it with a mesh and straighten any bent fins using some tweezers - a bit fiddly and time consuming but, not difficult.

No leaks; just not working very well resulting in overheating of the oil and loss of pressure.

We have had a go a strightening the fins so perhaps I should just try again and see if it still overheats or not before getting it re-cored.
