748r Service Required nr St Albans
I have not been on the bike for a year or so-long story but have moved to St Albans from Yorkshire.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get a service/MOT? Seems the nearest place is Aylesbury but I am happy to go a non main dealer if there are any good ones out there.

Thanks

Lots of people from down here (especially on the M1 corridor) still think that it's worth the journey to Cornerspeed.

Flitwick Motorcycles . . .
Is a good rec - their main guy (Charles) if he is still there, is a Ducati Whizz!

5 mins from J12 of the M1

You got to be kidding right?

I use Flitwick Motorcycles for my MOT's cos it's only a mile from my house, but Charles has never been anything but grumpy when I've taken my bike in and grumbles constantly about how much he hates Ducatis.

Plus the fact that he failed my ST for having a 'loose' petrol tank because he was hauling the front end up like ******y against the rubber strap that the bike is designed with. I had to take the tank pad off and show him how the tank was designed to be held down.

You may know better, I can only speak from personal experience

I'm in the Cornerspeed camp on this one - well worth the hike up the M1...

Before that I used Baines Racing at Silverstone

Thanks.

I will give Cornerspeed a try. I used to have to go to Italia Moto in Lincoln and that was miles away from me. A quick trip up the M1 will be no problem.

Nelly at Cornerspeed is great. He comes highly recommended and I've used him but if you're in St. Albans, I think you'll find you're within the 'free pick up' zone for Mitch at Tecmoto (advertising to the left here on the board). He's now doing a great job on my bikes, which must be a nightmare because they don't get ANY TLC from me because I'm a girlie and don't know where to start. Mitch used to prep race bikes, knows exactly what he's doing and also sponsors the Tecmoto Essex Boys race team so, with absolutely nothing but good to say about Nelly, you could try Mitch.
