Stop press...it's official. Speculation is now dead on 1098

IT'S OFFICIAL!!! Can't upload any pics yet but the UK's MCN today 8th November (UK time 0545am when I bought my copy on my way into work) has the scoop!! 1098 is on their front cover (the "S" version) in all it's glory. Hope to scan in some of the pictures when I get home from work! Looks fabulous

Cool...I'll go and get my MCN and have a gander, see if it's any different to their web site pics.

If it's true that they've got the scoop, what are you gonna do with your spare time now Rod ???

And to quote from MCN.
"999 Dialled out"
Ducati`s flagship superbike followed the 916form from 1993 until the interruption of the 999 in 2002. Now the classic look is back.
Ducati`s boss Claudio Dommenicali has had a poster of the original 916 on his office wall throughout the development of the 1098.
He is on the record as saying he wanted the 1098 to be a development of the 916 icon in the same way that porsche keeps reinventing the 911.

Tellingly, Ducati design boss Pierre Terblanche- The man behind the Multistrada, the sport classic range and the 999- claims to have had no input at all. (because the Multistrada, sports classic`s and 999 were well shite )

Got MCN on the way up to MK thismorning
looks just like the pics I posted yesterday then.

What happened to the Milan secret unveilling then ???
Did Bologna bottle it with all the leaked photos ??

IMHO

still not sure I like it, bit too "bitsa" for me
not sure it's a new design ? looks like a bit of a combo job

front nose looks way too jap and I've only just got away from all that !!
maybe it will look better in the flesh ?!

guess I'll wait for thr 'R' as I've been spoilt now !!! LOL

Did I miss something. I thought there were only five leaked shots yesterday, the two photos of the end cans and the two side shots plus the one of the headlight and fairing up close. I never saw any on here yesterday that show the bike from its right hand side or from the rear in it's entireity as in MCN this morning, or were the ones they have in the issue this morning leaked late last night??
