Are you talking about racing one Kevin???

No, but I'm thinking of racing one WITH Kevin

You will need more than a 750ss to be competitve at Bemsee. You'll be giving away about 10bhp to start with. Get an 800ss

I've just bought a '96 750SS and I'm loving it. The power is very usable, plenty of mid range. After riding a 600 Monster and a 900SS I love the 750SS the most out of the 3 engines.

More poke than the 600, a LOT smoother than the 900.

Get one, you wont regret it at all! It's one of those bikes that you love, you eagerly await opening the garage each day to ride it. This feeling is lasting even after commuting every day on it for months 80 miles a day.

I see. To be fair I'm not quite in the market to start racing in another series yet but will bear in mind if I do

Thanks for that - a fine review. Unfortunately I lost out in the auction last night - it was a really nice example too

Ah well there will be more I'm sure. Does th same logic go for the injection models?

yep, pretty much, but the ss-ie tank is more different than it looks to the ss-carb tank, and you may not find it as comfy.
