Posting photos

Hi Folks,

Can anyone give me, or point me to a (complete) idiot’s step by step guide to posting pictures on discussion board, or market place threads. Camera is 4.3 Megapixie (Woohoo!)

Starting at:

“Right you’ve taken the photo with your digi camera”

and ending at:

“Well done. Now you’ve successfully inserted pictures in the thread. Go and have a rest.”

I’m not looking to put in links, or pictures as attachments. I’d like the photos to appear when the thread is opened.

Sympathetic advice welcomed.

Spinoli, i sympathise with you as i've had this problem and i'm a techno idiot

My basic idiots guide is make sure the picture you want to post is less than 1 meg or the board will not accept it. Also if the pixel size is too large same will happen. I normally resize the pics to around 800 x 533 pixels so they post OK.

Presumably the pix you wish to post will be located in 'My pictures' or 'My documents' on your PC.

When you go to do a new post there is a field at the very bottom marked 'attachment' and within that thee is the 'browse' field. Select browse, this will enable you to look in the relevant section (my Pictures) on your PC where you have got the photos, select the photo you want and the title will appear in the browse field then post reply.

Hey presto your picture should as if by magic appear on the board.

However if you are anything like me, nowt will happen, you will smash your PC in a fit of rage, wake the kids up, kick the cat....and hope someone with a bit if knowledge pops up.

Hope that helps but you're probably far better of listening to Dibble, except hes got such an annoying southern accent and therefore cannot be understood properly.

Gud job typing on computa's does unt reveal any accent man.

Thanks BDG,

I have been the route that you suggest - similar results. The cat looks at me very funnily now.

I'll give Dibble a bell. There shouldn't be a language barrier - you can't get much further South than Jersey, which is where I'm calling from.
