Does anyone know who did the conversion of this 600ss, maybe 5 years ago? Its currently For Sale on Ducatisti, and was wondering if it would it make a good starter bike??

I think Lee Bown ran number 30 in 2007. Could be his bike. It had a couple fo decent finishes if memory serves me right.

It was indeed Phil Huntleys bike he won championship on. I built it from ground up. Lee bown raced it then and came good towards end of season. It did nothing for a season and then a loal bloke bought it and has run it this year. I think he's sticking with his classic racing hence that's why it's going.

Thanks for the info

What a provenance, we drove up to look at it last night, had a blat, and loaded it onto the trailer. Result!!

It well sorted and not too rattly, its had an oil cooler/ carb heater fitted since fil2 had it, and could do with a respray. Slightly worrying Phil said about it,"...I have thrashed the life outa that bike 100% of the time all the time."

..but what DD'er doesn't.

I still have to submit the ACU paperwork so might make Pembrey, or maybe better to get some practice in over the winter?

If you can't get sorted for Pembrey, then Cadwell the last of the season on Oct 3/4th
