Yes, I bought if from Ducati Glasgow last week. Took the day off work today and did four hundred miles to get it run in. I'm just going to go with the pipe cutting option, I know Martin and Bill's bikes having been running sweet since they were done.
When do you get your new 999R. (It's a small world with a large grapevine).
I was listening to Martins and Bills bikes at Knockhill, I'm looking forward to having that sort or roar. The poor thing sounds so stifled just now.
I had the racekit on order, but I'm going to leave it for just now. My mate spoke to someone at Monstermob for me and they've suggested cheaper, easier ways to safely make an extra few BHP. I want need it this year, only next year if I start racing her.
I'm going to get her on the dyno when the exhast is on, probably in two weeks.
well i got the exhaust off and changed the rear manifold for a new one under garantie, nice clean break around the weld ,i must admit a compleate nightmare to refit , lots of swearing... and found that the bike had spat the C.O. plug out as well on the front pipe ,these things are never easy......... well im off to Oschersleben after the GP so i hope the bike will be in ok
On the bike that has sheared the rear manifold, how tight was the exhaust to fit?
The pipe looks like it has stress fractured, but it's hard to tell from the photo's alone.
The silencer, even though it's titanium, could be easily repaired, but that's not what you paid all that moolah for Looks like it just needs beefed up to me.
Has anyone experienced these problems on other exhaust systems??
Went to jhp yesterday to collect my 749r and after talking to John i decided after comparing both termi and leo vinci systems we are going with the latter. The quality was in a different league, welds are beautifull ,brackets much more substantial and the billet mounting on the silencer is to die for! Its 57mm (they do 54)and is exactly the same as Lanzi used last year. Total cost will be less than the termi, even with the cost of the PC111 and modifing the pipes to clear the new swingarm. John is doing before and after dyno readings so i will report back when i pick her up. Butch
